I’m a retired Air Force Master Sergeant and retired Episcopal Priest (separate careers), currently retired. My wife, Debbie and I have 5 children and 8 grandchildren ranging in age from 10 to 32. I retired in 2009 from full time church work and we moved to Olympia, WA to be near our youngest daughter and grandchildren. My delight in my retirement has been our grandchildren and the opportunities to travel (see my travel journals through other links on my site).
I served 22 years of active duty in the Air Force as a Weapons Mechanic, Recruiter, Base Career Advisor and NCOIC of Military personnel (CBPO). My duty stations were Lackland AFB, TX (1963, basic training); Lowry AFB, CO (1963-64); Carswell AFB, TX (1964-1966); Andersen AB, Guam (1965 & 1972); Bien Hoa AB, Viet Nam (1966-67); Fairchild AFB, WA (1972-75); Kadena AB, Okinawa (1975-78; Eglin AFB, FL(1978-80); Walla Walla, WA (1980-82); Hill AFB, UT (1982-84); Kunson AB, South Korea (1984-850; Mountain Home AFB, ID (1985-90).
i retired from the Air Force and attended Seminary at the School of Theology of the University of the South, Sewanee, TN. graduating and ordained Deacon and Priest in 1993. I served as Curate of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, Jamestown, NY (1993-1998); Rector of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Westfield, NY (1998-2004) and Rector of All Saints’ Episcopal Church, Las Vegas, NV (2004-09). In my retirement I’ve served in the Diocese of Olympia (WA) as Interim Rector of St. Luke-San Lucas, Vancouver, WA (2010-2011) Associate priest of St. Mary’s, Lakewood, WA (2012-2016), and Interim Vicar and Rector of St. Benedict’s, Lacey, WA (2016-2020) and Sunday supply in several congregations in the diocese of Olympia. I entered full retirement in Oct 2020.
